Frequently Asked Questions
What you need to know to get started in Cricket
My child has never played cricket before, where do I start?
Start by filling out our membership enquiry form here. One of our coaches will then be in touch to talk you through getting started with Cowbridge Cricket Club.
Do I need to buy expensive equipment?
If you're just starting with softball (u9's) then no. In fact, we'd recommend not buying anything at all until you know your child wants to continue. When it does come to buying gear, be sure to speak with one of our coaches who will gladly point you in the right direction.
What kind of training do the coaches have?
All of our coaches are ECB (England & Wales Cricket Board) qualified and They hold valid DBS and safegurding certificates. Some specialise in particular cricket disciplines and we have a club CPD programme supported by Cricket Wales
My daughter is interested, can she join?
Yes, absolutely! Female cricket is growing the fastest globally and we already have a number of girls playing for both the junior and senior teams.
