About us

Cowbridge Ladies' Softball Team was set up in 2020, re-establishing women's cricket in Cowbridge after a century-long break. Our women’s sections continue to go from strength to strength.

After two successful seasons and collecting some silverware in South Wales Division 1, our 1st XI softball team will be joining South Wales Premier League in 2024. We have also entered the Welsh Plate.

Our Festival Team will continue to play softball festivals and friendlies throughout the Summer, to support and develop the growing numbers wishing to join this fun and exciting sport.

2024 also sees the formation of Panthers Cricket which is a joint venture with Port Talbot Cricket Club to form a new women's hardball team to compete in the South Wales Women's Premier League. Learn more at www.pantherscricket.co.uk

The ladies fully support the training of girls within the club, and we have a clear development pathway for girls' cricket. This starts with learning cricketing skills with a softball at under 9s and enables girls to transition to hardball cricket at club level and beyond, or continue on the ladies' softball pathway.
