About us

Cowbridge Ladies' Softball Team was set up in 2020, re-establishing women's cricket in Cowbridge after a century-long break.

ECB Women's Softball is six-a-side pairs cricket for Festivals (entry-level friendly matches), with each pair facing up to four overs and the majority of players bowling.

After an inaugural season sadly curtailed by Covid in 2020, the Ladies' Softball Team enjoyed a full season of Festivals in 2021, winning 15 out of 19 matches and hosting its own very successful Festival in August 2021.

In 2022, the Ladies Softball Team has been entered into the 1st Division of the South Wales Softball League, where matches will be 8-aside pairs. It will, however, continue to play Festivals throughout the Summer, to support the growing numbers wishing to join this fun and exciting sport.
