Cowbridge Cricket Club was saddened to hear of the death of former 1st XI player Barry John (Cowbridge Cricket Club 1972 and 1973). Barry was a left hand, middle order batsman and an outstanding fielder who also deputised as wicketkeeper when regular keeper, Eddie Dew, was unavailable. Though experiencing celebrity status due to his achievements on the rugby field Barry was always extremely modest, great company and a true team player. The club wishes to extend its condolences to his family.
